The Craft · Kutch to Bengaluru
The Ajrakh Edit
Sixteen stages. Four thousand years. One pair of hands.
Every saree here begins in Kutch, where award-winning printing families press hand-carved blocks into all-natural, tree-pulp fabric — indigo from the plant, crimson from alizarin root, black from iron and jaggery. Each design is made in a strictly limited run.
It then travels to our Bengaluru atelier, where slow, detailed handwork and embellishments gathered from Japan, the Czech Republic and India finish it into a saree for the true connoisseur.

How an Ajrakh is made
The process is measured in days, not hours — governed by the sun and the patience of the printmaker's hand.
